THE NAOWA COLLAGE, Abuja is located within the Army Cantonments under the Aso Rock and opposite the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Barracks, Asokoro. It is About 2 minutes’ drive from the Abuja children’s park and zoo. It is highly secured and safe for our children to really enjoy learning to its best.
The NAOWA College was founded by the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) in September, 2013. The school session kicked off with Year 7 and 8 (JSS1 and 2) and year 10 (SS1). The school is staffed to full capacity and offers all the subjects approved by the Federal Ministry of Education of Nigeria and The State Department for Education of the U.k.
The NAOWA COLLEGE, Abuja is a coeducational school, built on strong moral principles and the fear of God. It is a school that is set to cater for the academic, social, physical and mental needs of students from ages 11 to 16 (JSS1 to SS3). The school blends excellent modern learning resources and technology in their teaching practices. Our school operates and integrated curriculum of the British and Nigerian learning requirements. Ours is a skill-based curriculum geared towards building the total person ready for the opportunities and challenges of our time. Our curriculum is broad, balanced relevant and differentiated to ensure every student is helped to realise and reach their very best. Our students have the privilege of writing the following examinations:
Year 9 or JSS 3: JUNIOR WAEC, and CHECK POINT,
Year 11 or SS2: IGCSCs and
Year 12 or SS3 WAEC/NECO.
The NAOWA college is a co-educational boarding school. There are two occupied boarding houses. All dormitories are fully air-conditioned and the students are extremely comfortable. The Boarding house teams are very outstanding people. They are totally committed to the well-being of all the students. They are passionate about their jobs, know each student in their care and have gone extra miles to care and support them.
